My next task for monday 9th March is to enhance my students investigation by getting them to design avatars for the family identified in their investigation. They will then post these onto their blogs with a little description about that child. They can use their avatars in their presentations.

Investigation

Using bubbl.us mind mapping we are starting our investigation. The students will use their blog as a journal of their groups progress with the investigation.

Case studies

This week the groups have to post their case studies and ask questions which other students can comment on.

Local Authority, Private and Voluntary sectors

This weeks task was to research the above settings on the internet. Write a post in their blogs about each with links to actual Childcare settings in Fife under each of the headings.

They were then to decide who was going to be in their working group and make a blidget of their groups blog to go in their blog.

This was really well done and the students were engaged and enthused throughout the activity. One student put a widget of a cyber pet on her blog which was great.

Students are loving this way of learning.

2nd Feb

We are going to investigate various Childcare provisions available and these are going to be explained and posted on the students blogs with pictures to illustrate the provision, or a video from you tube maybe.........let's Investigate
